3rd Chemical Science Symposium on Supramolecular Chemistry https://synlab.www.hogge1.com/en/2013/06/668.html https://synlab.www.hogge1.com/en/2013/06/668.html#comments Tue, 15 Oct 2013 04:54:47 +0000 Yi Li http://synlab.www.hogge1.com/?p=668 We are delighted to welcome you to the 3rd Chemical Science Symposium on Supramolecular Chemistry. We are very grateful to our host, Professor Yu Jihong, for her generous hospitality and the considerable help she has given with the organisation of the event and we also very much appreciate the generous support provided by Jilin University.
Each of the speakers in this symposium is an international expert in the area of supramolecular chemistry and we hope that the lectures will stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences between all participants leading to new friendships and collaborations. We thank each of the speakers and all the participants for their contributions to this symposium.
The RSC is a learned society, concerned with advancing chemistry as a science, developing its applications, and disseminating chemical knowledge, and a professional body that maintains professional qualifications and sets high standards of competence and conduct for professional chemists. We have over 48,000 members worldwide drawn from all areas of the chemical sciences. We are active in academia, education and industry and play an important role in shaping science policy both in the UK and internationally. In addition the RSC is a major publisher of research journals, magazines, databases and books that cover all areas of the chemical sciences.
Chemical Science is RSC Publishing’s flagship journal for exceptional research from across the chemical sciences. Lead by Editor-in-Chief, Professor David MacMillan (Princeton University), the 17 Associate Editors are leading the way in their own respective research fields and hence are, ideally placed to be the gatekeepers of quality going forward. With a first partial impact factor of 7.5 released in June 2012 (Thomson, ISI) and this on schedule to increase to over 8 in June 2013, Chemical Science is well on the way to becoming the authors’ new first choice journal, for high impact and topical general interest research. Dr Robert D. Eagling (Managing Editor, Chemical Science) will be at the meeting and be delighted to answer any questions you may have about the journal quality and expectations.
Within China the RSC has two offices in Beijing (based at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Shanghai (based at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences). There are nine full-time staff based in China who are happy to answer your queries about any aspects of the RSC including its activities in China, its membership services and publishing activities. They look forward to hearing from you.
Again welcome to what promises to be an exciting symposium. We hope that this event will act as a springboard for future activities and that it will help in fostering new partnerships.
