Academic Titles : Professor in Physical Chemistry, College of Chemistry, Jilin University

Personal Profile

Mingjun Jia received his PhD at Jilin University (China) in 1999. He then joined the group of Dr. Vicente Cortés Corberán as a post-doctoral fellow at the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry, CSIC (Spain). In 2001 he moved, granted by a research fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation to the group of Prof. Werner R. Thiel at the TU Chemnitz (Germany). Since 2003 he is professor of physical chemistry at the Jilin University. His current research interests mainly focus on the synthesis and catalytic applications of a variety of supported noble metal catalysts, functionalized zeolites, and inorganic-organic hybrid materials.
