On April 22, 2005, State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan came to Jilin University for an inspection, together with relevant leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affaires and Li Jinbin, vice governor of Jilin Province. Zhou Qifeng, president of Jilin University, Wang Shoushi, Deputy Party Secretary, Zhang Fuliang, vice president, Qiu Shilun and several other officials from Jilin University accompanied the inspection.
Tang Jiaxuan first visited the Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry. He nodded in agreement when academician Shouhua Feng introduced the lab’s high quality work published in Angewandte Chemie. He also showed interest in the advanced equipment of the lab and encouraged faculty and staff to make the best use of the advanced equipment to produce outstanding research work.
