On October 22, 2008, Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, came to Jilin University for an inspection under the accompany of Wang Min, Party chief of Jilin Province, and Han Changfu, governor of Jilin Province. Jia Qinglin visited the State Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry, National Bioscience Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center, and Gallery of Jilin University History. During his visit to the Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry, Jia Qinglin listened to the report made by Prof. Shouhua Feng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and director of the lab, about the overall development of the lab. He also inspected the equipment of the lab, learned about the research directions and achievements, and interacted with the lab staff about their research work.
